YSS Lafwa began as an idea in the summer of the 2017 when Carl wanted to find a way to provide for his community. YSS stands for " You Stand Strong" and Lafwa is Kreyol for "Faith". Carl started the organization with an initial dedication to awareness in Haiti but quickly realized he only not wants to bring suitability back to his home country, but also the black communities currently surrounding him.

This organization is dedicated to poverty alleviation and providing resources for marginalized communities well. We promote mental health awareness, community service, and opportunities for individuals to find their true purpose. Our goal is to provide wellness and good health to those who need it. We live by the famous saying “ When faith becomes sight”. We want to change the world.
